It came as a surprise to many when longtime Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett, who was just added to the Titans roster the week of the draft, took to the podium in Nashville and explained his longtime Titans fandom. "A lot of people don't know this, but I actually grew up a Titans fan when I was younger."

Lockett went on to explain how he attended classic Titans-Ravens playoff games with family when he was younger, and has followed the team for years. A random revelation, but certainly endearing! Well, it was revealed this week that he isn't the only veteran free agent addition on the list of secret longtime Titans fans who now play for the team they've always rooted for.
Believe it or not, new Titans starting safety Xavier Woods has always been a big fan of his new team. The Smoothie King investor (fun fact) joined Ian Rapoport and Judy Battista on NFL Network's "The Insiders" to talk all things Titans last week.

"Growing up I was a Tennessee Titan fan, honestly" Woods revealed, expressing his excitement to be on his favorite team. "So I mean, my favorite players were Eddie George, Chris Johnson, and then Steve McNair, rest in peace, that was my favorite player of all time."
It turns out that Woods was one of a generation of youth football players who idolized the late great Steve McNair, choosing to wear his number throughout grade school.
"I was number nine all through youth football. So just being on the Titans is a dream come true for me. I even wrote that down when I was a youth: that I wanted to be on the Titans."
When asked what his goal is with his dream team, the stated mission is simple: "just getting the Tennessee Titans back to the helm, winning ballgames is ultimately the number one goal. Winning ballgames is the main goal for this team."
Host Ian Rapoport did chime in to ask: entering your ninth season in the league, having bounced around in free agency more than once before... Why didn't Woods join his favorite team earlier?!
"I mean, you gotta be wanted!" Woods explained. "I was drafted to Dallas, and sometimes you've got to go where you're wanted at the time. At the time, other teams may have wanted me, and so I went there. But I mean, it is definitely a dream come true to be able to play for the Titans team that I grew up watching. My first football game that I can ever remember was Super Bowl (XXXIV), with them coming up one yard short. That's the first game I can ever remember watching. So ever since then, I've just been a Titans fan, and from afar, have always kinda looked and seen what the Titans were doing when I'm with other teams. But it's definitely a dream come true."
Who knew that all this time, the security of Kevin Byard and Amani Hooker may have been the only thing keeping Xavier Woods from becoming a Titan much earlier.
