When the Chicago Bears were searching for a new head coach, reports often suggested they would choose either a locker room leader or an offensive guru. The million-dollar question is: Why can't they have both?
Once the Detroit Lions were eliminated from the playoffs, the Bears moved quickly to identify their man, Ben Johnson. Johnson finalized an agreement to become head coach without conducting an in-person interview. It seems both sides had each other as their top choices. The offensive whiz kid arrived at Halas Hall Tuesday morning and immediately addressed the team.
Halas Hall, meet Ben Johnson. I’d grade this a positive first impression. Are the Bears back? pic.twitter.com/x4MrRx04or

Now, hold on. Could the whiz kid also be a 'leader of men'? Is that allowed? Johnson came into the building prepared to make a statement and did just that. You can even see Kevin Warren hiding a smile in the background.
Will this translate to wins in the season? Well, those questions can wait until training camp. For now, this was a good day for the Chicago Bears and their fans.
