Bengals 2022 season tickets are sold out after Super Bowl trip

The Cincinnati Bengals somewhat unexpectedly became the darlings of the AFC North last NFL season and completed an impressive journey all the way to Super Bowl LVI, where they fell to the Los Angeles Rams. Thus, it was surprising to learn in February that the Bengals had not yet sold all of their season tickets for the upcoming campaign.

As Josh Alper pointed out for Pro Football Talk on Monday morning, that's no longer the case.

Per Melanie Laughman of the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Bengals announced in an email sent out on Friday that all 2022 season tickets are now sold out. Those interested in obtaining future season tickets must make a one-time $150 deposit to get a spot on a wait list. Individuals who are on that list will receive "priority" for playoff tickets, and the list is ordered based on when deposits are made.

According to Alper, the Bengals were one of 13 NFL teams that didn't have a wait list for season tickets before Friday's development.

It's widely expected the Cleveland Browns will be without star quarterback Deshaun Watson for much or even all of the 2022 campaign, as he could be essentially suspended indefinitely regarding allegations of sexual misconduct during massage sessions. Assuming journeyman Jacoby Brissett fills in as Cleveland's QB1 this fall, the Bengals' path to returning to the postseason could be made all the easier through no work of their own.
