Bengals roster breakdown is back! During the 99 days leading up to Cincinnati's regular season opener against the Cleveland Browns, the player with the matching jersey number as days remaining will become the day's highlighted player.

79 days remain until the Bengals' first game of the 2025 season, and No. 79 Andrew Coker is the first offensive linemen to receive the spotlight.

Andrew Coker

Age: 24
Year: 2nd
Position: Offensive tackle
College: TCU
Previous Teams: Las Vegas Raiders (2024)
Jersey Number: 79

Coker is entering his second year with the Bengals after going undrafted during the 2024 NFL Draft. He played five seasons at TCU. He started three full seasons at right tackle from 2020-22. He began the 2023 season at left tackle before moving back to the right side for the second half of the year.

The Raiders signed Coker as a UDFA in 2024 and waived him during final cuts. He was added to Cincinnati's practice squad following Orlando Brown Jr.'s Week 7 knee injury. Coker stayed on the practice squad until he was elevated for Week 15, but never saw the field in any capacity.

Contract Details

Coker signed a one-year, $840,000 contract with the Bengals at the start of the offseason. $840,000 represents his potential cash earnings and salary cap hit for the year.

Roster Outlook

Cincinnati has enough tackles for three separate bookend tandems, but Coker is likely a part of that third and final unit behind starters Brown and Amarius Mims and backups Jalen Rivers and Devin Cochran. Coker's collegiate experience at RT may give him an edge to run with the second string at that spot, but Rivers is a fresh draft pick with promise and Cochran actually provided snaps for the offense last season and has been in the system longer.

It's not a strong group of depth, but Coker will still have to claw his way up the depth chart for a chance at sticking on the roster from the practice squad just like Cochran did last year. He'll get a full offseason with the club to make that happen.

Roster odds: 15%
Projected role:
Reserve offensive tackle
