Ahead of their rematch with Aaron Rodgers and the AFC North foe Pittsburgh Steelers, the Cincinnati Bengals have added to their resistance. Zac Taylor's team announced roster moves on Monday afternoon.

"We have elevated LB Brian Asamoah II off the practice squad to the active roster and have signed LB Antwaun Powell-Ryland to the practice squad," the team wrote Monday on X.

Asamoah has played in one game for the Bengals this season, seeing 19 special teams snaps. He previously suited up for the Minnesota Vikings, who drafted him in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. In total, he's appeared in 47 regular games during his career, tallying 30 combined stops, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

While playing collegiately at Oklahoma, Asamoah was a second-team All-Big 12 honoree. He led the Sooners with 90 tackles as a senior.

The Philadelphia Eagles drafted Powell-Ryland in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He spent five games on the Eagles' practice squad, but was released on Saturday after Nick Sirianni's team signed defensive tackle Ta'Quon Graham.

Powell-Ryland notched 16 sacks last season with the Virginia Tech Hokies, good enough for the third-most in FBS. That total also marked the first time a Hokies player recorded double-digit sacks since 2005. He earned a first-team All-ACC nod for the effort and The Sporting News listed him as a second-team All-American.

The Bengals have the worst defense in the NFL in terms of yards allowed per game (426.6) and third-worst when it comes to the air (269.4).
