Trey Hendrickson is making headlines again as he reports to Bengals training camp.
Doing so without a deal, the return of the star pass rusher in some shape or form will only continue the questions, pandering, and distractions of his contract negotiation.
But it also means the end of the road for a veteran RB...
"Bengals released veteran RB Zack Moss, who played in eight games with six starts for Cincinnati last season," ESPN's Adam Schefter posted this morning. "Moss had 74 rushing attempts for 242 yards and two TDs last season."

With Chase Brown still expected to be the lead back and the return of Samaje Perine , the move doesn't come with any real ramifications on offense. The veteran stability that a player like Moss brings to a unit can't be discounted, but I think most Bengals fans would agree that Trey Hendrickson is a little more important to the team.
So someone had to be the casualty in the situation, and seeing as RBs are one of the more devalued positions in the league, it was Moss. I won't say that the focus now turns to Trey Hendrickson because, well, the focus has been on him all offseason, but his arrival to camp does increase the intensity of things.
The preseason starts Thursday, and the kickoff to the regular season is a little over a month away at this point. Trey Hendrickson may be one of the hardest-working EDGE rushers in the sport, but he needs to get himself into game shape.
Now, how active he will be without a contract is to be determined and is unlikely to include a lot of practice, hence the mantra of him holding in, but being in the facility is probably better optics.
And it's certainly a better sign than leaving the state of Ohio entirely and heading to Florida.
