Bengals’ Joe Burrow Doesn’t Hold Back On Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes
George Walker IV / Tennessean.com / USA TODAY NETWORK

One of the premier matchups in Week 13 is a rematch from last season’s AFC Championship Game as Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals will be hosting Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. In their last matchup, the Bengals pulled off a huge upset victory in Arrowhead Stadium, winning 27-24 in overtime, to go on to the Super Bowl against the Los Angeles Rams.

It was an excellent game and fans are hoping that the rematch can provide just as much entertainment. Both teams are coming into the matchup on fire as the Chiefs are riding a five-game winning streak and the Bengals have won three in a row.

Expect a lot of offense as Cincinnati is trending toward having their full complement of players back in the fold. Running back Joe Mixon missed last week’s game with a concussion while Ja’Marr Chase hasn’t played since Week 7 against the Atlanta Falcons because of a hip injury.

Despite not having his full arsenal of weapons, quarterback Joe Burrow has still managed to put up some big stats this season. He has caught the attention of his counterpart this weekend, Patrick Mahomes. Also, Burrow spoke highly of Mahomes when asked about him earlier this week.

“He’s the best right now. He’s been playing the best all year. There really hasn’t been a lot of people like him come through the game.”

That was certainly some big-time praise from Mahomes, as he is showing the ultimate respect for Burrow. Once Burrow is informed of what was said, he would likely return the favor and speak just as highly of Mahomes, who is on a record-setting pace this season and is currently the odds on favorite to win the MVP award. He has Peyton Manning’s single-season passing yards record in his sights if he plays all 17 games.

Football fans are in for a treat with them facing off this weekend in what is shaping up to be one of the best games of the regular season.
