Bengals' Joe Burrow unveils pick for best CB in the NFL

Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II is a budding star who's quickly making his peers take notice of his game, including Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow.

Burrow recently appeared on Colin Cowherd's podcast and discussed the league's top CBs.

"I think (Surtain's II) the best," Burrow said.

Players throughout the league agree with Burrow, acknowledging that Surtain II is one of, if not the best, at his position.

The NFL players association recently revealed its first-ever All-Pro team, voted upon by players. Surtain II was named first-team All-Pro alongside Philadelphia's Darius Slay. It's a huge nod of respect from fellow players and one the 22-year-old deserves.

According to Pro Football Focus, Surtain II had the second-highest overall grade (86.8) for a CB this season, just behind heralded Jets' rookie Sauce Gardner and ahead of Rams' five-time Pro Bowler Jalen Ramsey.

Surtain II faced elite offensive playmakers during the season, making his performance all the more impressive. He lined up against Davante Adams and Patrick Mahomes twice--both made the NFLPA first-team All-Pro-- along with other stars like Seattle's D.K. Metcalf.

He rose to the challenge in 17 games, compiling 10 passes defensed, 60 tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble while playing on 97 percent of Denver's defensive snaps. As a result, he earned his first Pro Bowl selection.

He's becoming one of the league's premier lockdown CBs, a statement agreed upon throughout the NFL.
