Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow said no to season one of Netflix's Quarterback in 2023, telling reporters that media wasn't his favorite thing to do.

Burrow had a change of heart just a year later.

The former LSU Tigers standout is set to appear in season two of Quarterback, which will premier later this summer.

Burrow told reporters on Tuesday that Netflix caught him on the "right day" before elaborating that it's Tennessee Vols legend Peyton Manning's involvement in the show that made him feel comfortable signing up to appear in season two (Manning is an executive producer on the show).

"I think a big part was Peyton being involved in it, too," said Burrow. "I have a lot of respect for him, obviously, and what he does as a person. So if that guy reaches out to you and asks you do to something, then most of the time I'm going to say yes."

"Just that only positive things can come out of it," added Burrow when asked about the biggest selling point from Peyton on doing the show. "He's going to protect me, protect our team, protect the organization. I have trust in him for saying that, and I trust that he's going to do that. I probably wouldn't have done it if he wasn't involved, but I have a lot of trust and faith in him to not do anything that would hurt me or the team."

Thank goodness for Peyton.

Burrow is one of the most compelling players in the NFL. And getting a behind-the-scenes look at his life while he's in the prime of his career will be a treat for all football fans.

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff and Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins are also set to appear in season two of Quarterback
