The Cincinnati Bengals have signed a new veteran quarterback ahead of training camp.

Desmond Ridder has agreed to a deal with the Bengals, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported on Sunday.

The Bengals are Ridder’s fourth team since the Atlanta Falcons drafted him in the third round out of Cincinnati in 2022. He signed with the Las Vegas Raiders midway through last season as a backup after he was cut by the Arizona Cardinals before Week 1.

Ridder started 13 games for the Falcons in 2023. He completed 64.2% of his passes that year for 2,836 yards, 12 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Ridder also rushed for 193 yards and 5 touchdowns.

In 18 total career starts, Ridder is 8-10 and has thrown 16 touchdowns compared to 14 interceptions.

The Bengals now have a handful of quarterbacks on their roster, with Jake Browning currently listed at No. 2 on the depth chart. Ridder will be fighting for a roster spot in training camp and the preseason.
