The Cincinnati Bengals have entered the NFL offseason with several problems that have great potential to come back and bite them.
After agreeing to contract terms with one of the best wide receiver combinations in the league in Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, Cincinnati is still having financial battles with players on their roster.
Players on their offense seem to be satisfied and ready to take on the 2025 season, but there has been a ton of drama within the Bengals' defensive side of the ball.
Contract talks have grown contentious with 2025 first-round pick Shemar Stewart, as the No. 17 overall selection has decided to hold out of team OTAs after becoming unsatisfied with the Bengals' initial offer.
Cincinnati has also strained its relationship with a player who had one of the best seasons at his position in 2024.
After leading the NFL in sacks last year, Bengals' edge rusher Trey Hendrickson has made it obvious that he believes he should be paid on a long-term deal.
"I think both parties should understand that a long-term contract that guarantees to know that I can continue to play at the level that I have been is a mutual respect," Hendrickson said back on May 13.

His arrival today at voluntary OTAs is a result of things becoming “personal” after being informed by Zac Taylor on Monday he would be fined for missing mandatory minicamp. pic.twitter.com/M5dJ7Vko2r
A few weeks have passed since the Bengals' edge rusher has expressed his opinions on the matter, and now it's become personal.
It seems that Hendrickson is still standing on business, and there's a chance that he will miss games in the 2025 season if an extension isn't agreed upon.

He is going into his ninth season in the NFL and his fifth in Cincinnati.
After having back-to-back seasons with 17.5 sacks for the Bengals, the team could be without its best defensive player to begin the 2025 season.
