Bengals WR Tyler Boyd: Mahomes vs. Burrow is 'like Manning vs. Brady'

Peyton Manning and Tom Brady delivered a lot of iconic games for many years. Is Mahomes vs. Burrow the next great quarterback matchup?

Bengals WR Tyler Boyd believes it is. "It goes back to the quarterback thing. I look at it like Manning vs Brady."

Joe Burrow is 2-0 vs. Patrick Mahomes and could become the first quarterback to start 3-0 against him Sunday. Both previous matchups were decided by three points each, with the two quarterbacks combining for over 1,200 pass yards and 11 touchdowns.

Like Manning and Brady, Mahomes and Burrow are two of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. Mahomes leads the league in pass yards (3,585) and passing touchdowns (29) while Burrow ranks third in both categories (3,160, 23), per NFL.com.

Similar to any great rivalry, there has been a lot of trash talk leading up to the game as well. Chiefs S Justin Reid forgot TE Hayden Hurst's name and said he was going to lock down WR Tee Higgins.

Hurst responded to Reid's comments. "You can pick anybody in this room, I’m the last one you want to talk (expletive) about. I have a long memory."

It seems to have the makings of a great rivalry for many years to come. Sunday is the third installment of what could become the next great quarterback rivalry between Mahomes and Burrow.
