Every year, fantasy football fans fall in love with a few specific players. They become assets that are simply heartbreaking to leave a draft without. Here are four of the best values to target in 2025.
In one of the bigger trades this offseason, the Pittsburgh Steelers uncharacteristically traded for Metcalf in a showstopping fashion. As a part of the trade, the receiver inked a new four year, $132 million contract. The deal made him the fourth-highest paid at his position in the league. As the Steelers rarely make offseason moves for offensive assets, the transaction serves as a clear sign that they plan on him being the face of the offense for the foreseeable future.
Pittsburgh also added veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers this offseason. Rodgers has made it clear that he prefers to hypertarget one recovery on a given offense. From Devante Adams in Green Bay to Garret Wilson in New York, Rodgers is a machine when it comes to producing fantasy football WR1s. Metcalf’s current ADP is closer to his floor than his ceiling, making him a must-draft player in 2025.
Amidst the chaos in Tennessee last year, Pollard managed to finish the season as the RB21. The recent injury to Tyjae Spears, combined with the arrival of rookie quarterback Cam Ward, opens the door to opportunity for Pollard heading into the season. Although nobody is expecting an RB1 finish from him this year, Pollard will likely produce more than last year. This makes him one of the best mid-round fantasy football targets.
Allen’s recent signing with the Los Angeles Chargers has many fantasy fans wondering what to think of the aging asset. Finishing last year as the WR35 on 121 targets for the Chicago Bears, the 12-year veteran returns to his old team. While Allen is clearly not as spry as he once was, he remains a reliable and consistent receiver.
Allen’s current ADP at WR51 projects his production to fall off a cliff. There is no reason not to take a swing on him in the 12th round in fantasy this year.
Just one year removed from his overall QB3 finish, Dak Prescott enters 2025 with a massive opportunity. The recent departure of superstar Micah Parsons marks a new age in Dallas. The move indicates that the team is relying solely on the offense for immediate success. The questionable defense, paired with a porous running game, puts the weight solely on the shoulders of Prescott. Similar to the situation in Cincinnati, this offense will have to put up loads of points in order to keep up with its opponents.
Value is the main ingredient for success in fantasy football. While these names may not be the prettiest, they offer top-tier high upside at an ADP that won’t sink a roster if they don’t reach it. All of these players are being overlooked for various reasons and managers should capitalize on the opportunity of taking them this season before the market value skyrockets after the first few weeks.
