Best NFL Bets for Week 12: Our Experts' Favorite NFL Picks Against the Spread

There are three double-digit favorites in Week 12 of the 2025 NFL season: The Baltimore Ravens are favored by 13.5 at home vs. the New York Jets; the Seattle Seahawks are giving 13.5 on the road vs. the Tennessee Titans; and the Detroit Lions are favored by 10.5 at home vs. the New York Giants.

Athlon Sports’ NFL staff isn’t afraid of at least two of those heavy favorites. Two of our experts picked the Lions as a best bet this week; one expert likes the Seahawks.

As we noted in our overall staff picks earlier this week, recent history suggests the Lions are a very solid bet to win and cover this week.

To revisit: The Lions are coming off a Week 11 loss to the Eagles, and Dan Campbell’s squad is downright ornery after a loss. The Lions haven’t lost two in a row since midway through the 2022 season. And since then, they have followed their last 13 losses with 13 wins by an average margin of 17 points. Now the Lions return to Ford Field, where they play much better, and they’re facing a Giants team that already has lost five games by 10 or more points.

It feels like that 10.5-point line is smaller than it should be. We’ll see.

Road favorites update: Road favorites were 3-4 against the spread in Week 11, so the season record stands at 38-23-1. We’ve got six more road favorites this week.

Monday Night Hangover Update: The Philadelphia Eagles’ Week 11 win over the Detroit Lions brought a temporary slowdown to the Monday Night Hangover trend — the Monday night winner is now 4-7-1 against the spread the following week. The Dallas Cowboys are the most recent Monday night winner, coming off an easy victory against the Las Vegas Raiders. They’re home underdogs to the Eagles this week, so we’ll see if the trend rebounds.
