Best NFL Bets for Week 16: Our Experts’ Favorite NFL Picks Against the Spread

We’ve talked a lot about road favorites this season in the NFL, because they’ve done pretty well. According to TeamRankings.com, road favorites this seaosn were 52-29 against the spread going into Week 16. Thursday night’s big NFC West showdown — in which the Los Angeles Rams were 1.5-point favorites on the road against the Seattle Seahawks — was the first of 10 games this week in which the road team was favored.

Only seven teams this season had not been favored on the road at least once through the first 15 weeks. That number is reduced to six this week, as the Minnesota Vikings are 2.5-point favorites at the New York Giants.

The Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers are tied for the best record as road favorites — 5-0 — and the 49ers will put that record on the line this week as 5.5-point favorites on Monday night at the Indianapolis Colts. The Buffalo Bills, who are 4-3 as road favorites, are 10.5-point favorites Sunday in Cleveland.

The team with the worst record against the spread as a road favorite is the Kansas City Chiefs at 1-4. While the Chiefs are eliminated from playoff contention, they’re still favored on the road this week — 3.5-point favorites at Tennessee. If the Chiefs can’t win and cover a relatively low spread against the 2-12 Titans, it will further add to the most disapointing
Chiefs season in a decade.
