Tom Brady is widely regarded as the greatest quarterback to ever pick up a football. He is the NFL's all-time leader in passing yards, touchdowns and games played. He also has the most Super Bowl wins ever by an NFL player, with seven during his illustrious 23-year career in the league.
After retiring from playing after the 2022 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brady joined Fox as the network's lead color commentator for NFL games. In October 2024, he bought a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders.
On Monday, Brady announced a personal move that will bring him back to playing football for the first time since his retirement.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Brady will join several current NFL stars for the Fanatics Flag Football Classic in Saudi Arabia on March 21, 2026. This is a competitive flag football tournament that will take place during Riyadh Season.
Other notable stars who will be joining Brady for the tournament will be Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey, CeeDee Lamb, Maxx Crosby, and Brady's former longtime teammate and current Fox coworker, Rob Gronkowski. There will be three teams in the tournament, which will be coached by Pete Carroll, Sean Payton and Kyle Shanahan, per Schefter.
This tournament will be the first time Brady has played organized, competitive football since retiring three years ago. Brady's list of accolades and accomplishments during his NFL career is incredible.
He won three regular-season NFL MVP awards, was selected to 15 Pro Bowl teams, was the Super Bowl MVP five times and threw for 89,214 yards and 649 touchdowns.
With this announcement, the 48-year-old Brady will get the chance to show off his skills on a global stage once again.
