The Atlanta Falcons look so much more explosive when Bijan Robinson has the football. The running back himself hit a new speed feat in showing his explosiveness against the Washington Commanders Sunday during the 34-24 win.
The veteran RB caught the Commanders defense off guard on a designed wheel route. He outran one Washington defender before one last defender Jeremy Reaves completed his angle pursuit of Robinson.
He still ate up 69 yards on the catch-and-run -- and hit a new career accolade per Next Gen Stats.
"Bijan Robinson reached a top speed of 21.85 mph on his 69-yard reception, the fastest speed of his career," the outlet posted on the social media website X, formerly known as Twitter.
Reaves was moving too at an uncanny speed.
Per NGS, the veteran defender hit a top 10 mark not seen in eight years.
"Jeremy Reaves reached 22.62 mph to make the tackle and save a TD, the sixth-fastest speed on a tackle since 2017," Next Gen Stats shared.
Reaves' closing pursuit, again, denied what could've been a 76-yard touchdown by Robinson.
But Michael Penix Jr. hit Kyle Pitts on the very next play, good enough for a seven-yard touchdown catch to place the Falcons ahead 24-13.
The versatile option found ways to attack the Commanders' defense. Not just by land either.
Robinson tallied 106 total yards on the receiving end through four catches. Penix targeted him five times through the air. Sunday became his third career 100-yard receiving day plus his second for the 2025 campaign (delivered 100 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1).
The former top 10 NFL Draft pick was a proven force on handoffs, too. He carried the football 17 times for 75 yards and averaged 4.4 yards per carry before the game's ending.
His Falcons never trailed throughout the afternoon against last season's NFC runner-ups.
