Bill Belichick is open to bringing in more players

The New England Patriots are looking to get back into the playoffs after missing out last postseason. The Patriots added wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and tight end Mike Gesicki to help improve the pass-catching abilities in Bill O’Brien’s offense. Head coach Bill Belichick said at the League Annual Meeting the team was constantly looking for ways to improve the roster.

According to the Patriot’s website, Belichick said there are numerous ways for the Patriots to find impactful players this offseason:

“There’s a lot of ways you can acquire players. I wouldn’t rule out any of them or rule in any of them. We see something that can help the team, then we’ll do it. We are not afraid to do whatever we need to do to help the team, whatever that is, Belichick told reporters.

Specifically, Belichick was asked about adding at the wide receiver position and said, “if we can improve our team, we’ll try to improve our team,” while declining comment on players not currently on the Patriots, including a potential pursuit of Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and free-agent wideout Odell Beckham.”

The Patriots will need to bring in the most talent they can this offseason. The AFC East might be one of the best divisions next season, especially with Aaron Rodgers about to join the New York Jets.
