The NFL playoffs are down to four contenders for Super Bowl LIX: the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles.
Ahead of the matchup between the Bills and the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, legendary NFL head coach Bill Cowher joined "The Rich Eisen Show" to discuss the game.
Cowher believes both teams are playing at an extremely high level and credited their coaches, Andy Reid for the Chiefs and Sean McDermott for the Bills, for the organizations success.
While he believes Kansas City has done a remarkable job of winning close games and earning the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, Cowher thinks the Bills have a "different vibe" this year.
"I feel like Buffalo," Cowher said. "There’s a little different vibe this year. There’s a freedom at which Josh Allen is playing. I think that there’s responsibility. He’s taken leadership element wise, to another level this year. I think this football team's healthier than they’ve been in years past. A little bit different identity, almost a run-first team."
Kansas City enters the game as a 2-point favorite, per ESPN BET.
The two teams previously faced off in Week 11 of the regular season, when the Bills defeated the Chiefs 30-21 to snap their nine-game win streak.
The Chiefs head into the AFC Championship Game having defeated the Houston Texans, while the Bills took down the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens en route to the conference title matchup.
Buffalo is led by quarterback Josh Allen, who's posted two touchdowns and 399 yards with a 75.0 completion percentage through the first two rounds of the playoffs.
He's also added two touchdowns and 66 yards on the ground.
Allen and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes have a strong history of competing against one another. They're 4-4 in all-time matchups, but Allen is 0-3 against Mahomes and the Chiefs in the playoffs.
The Bills and Chiefs will take the field to determine the AFC champions, on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
