While it's clear that the Bills Mafia loves their superstar MVP QB in Josh Allen, there are quite a few other fan-favorites on the roster who have been balling out in training camp. While the team prepares for its first preseason game against the New York Giants, the team got some great news.
Injuries are just part of the game, and before playing their first preseason snap, the team is battling its fair share of injuries. Which is why this recent update makes things that much sweeter for an organization looking to win its first-ever Super Bowl.
Bills just ran a jet sweep to Elijah Moore and Matt Milano looked like he was shot out of a cannon getting to him before he could turn the corner. Milano has been tremendous this camp.

Insert Matt Milano. Milano has been on a tear during camp and looks to be ready for another All-Pro level season, or at least that's the hope. Sal Capaccio, Bills Reporter and Host of Extra Point WGR on WGR 550, shared that, "Bills just ran a jet sweep to Elijah Moore, and Matt Milano looked like he was shot out of a cannon getting to him before he could turn the corner. Milano has been tremendous this camp.
During his tenure in Buffalo, Milano has battled his fair share of injuries, which saw him tear his MCL in his knee during the 2023 season, which saw him placed on IR. Then, in the 2024 season, Milano tore his bicep and needed surgery.
The superstar LB joined the Buffalo Bills via the 2017 draft as their fifth-round, 163rd overall pick. Chalk up another huge win for Brandon Beane. Being able to land an All-Pro LB late in the draft is a huge win for the organization.
While these are just practices, Milano has been balling out and is a standout through the team's first two weeks of training camp. As Matthew Bove, Sports Director for WKBW, reported, "It's tough to gauge Milano's play with limited physicality during the practices, but he's been around the ball, strong in coverage, and looks to be moving like the player we saw before his injury in 2023."
As Bove reported, a healthy Matt Milano on this current Bills roster would go a long way toward the team reaching the ultimate goal in a Super Bowl. "Milano's presence and health could help take the Bills' defense to a new level in 2025."
Bills Mafia knows all too well the kind of mild-mannered, soft-spoken nature of Milano. It's an inside joke that he doesn't speak, which could be a reason why he wasn't featured so heavily in Hard Knocks. Nevertheless, even if it's camp, the thought of Milano lighting the world on fire and going back to his 2022 level of production would be beyond a game-changer.
For now, all that's left to do is wait. We won't have to wait long for some football as the Buffalo Bills are taking on the New York Giants for their first preseason matchup.
