The Buffalo Bills dropped to 7-4 after a 23-19 loss to the Houston Texans on "Thursday Night Football."
Quarterback Josh Allen was sacked eight times, and he threw an interception in the closing seconds with the Bills in Texans territory.
Allen finished 24-of-34 with 253 yards and a pair of interceptions but was held without a touchdown.
Running back James Cook did the heavy lifting, finishing with 116 yards and a score on 17 carries.
Cook began the scoring with a 45-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, and that marked the only offensive touchdown of the game for Buffalo.
By doing so, Cook passed the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the third straight season, and the Bills announced some news regarding that feat.
"James Cook III has surpassed 1,000 rushing yards for a third consecutive season. Cook III is the third Bill in team history to rush for 1,000 yards in three consecutive seasons, joining Thurman Thomas (8 consecutive seasons) and O.J. Simpson (5)."

Cook III is the third Bill in team history to rush for 1,000 yards in three consecutive seasons, joining Thurman Thomas (8 consecutive seasons) and O.J. Simpson (5).
Cook had 507 yards in his rookie season on 89 carries, but he had 1,122 yards in 2023 and 1,009 last season.
This year, Cook already has over 1,000 yards in just 11 games, so he has become a steady force for the Buffalo offense.
The Bills' RB was selected in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft after playing college football at Georgia.
This past summer, he was a hold-in at camp in hopes of earning a new deal, and the Bills gave him a four-year, $48 million extension.
Now, he joins an exclusive pair of RBs in Buffalo history.
