The Buffalo Bills are 6-2 and chasing the New England Patriots for first place in the AFC East.

In Week 10, Josh Allen and the Bills take on the lowly Miami Dolphins. Mike McDaniel's team has seven losses this season as hot-seat rumors swirl involving the head coach.

The last game for Miami was a 28-6 blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens on "Thursday Night Football."

For Buffalo, good news came on Friday as running back James Cook was labeled good to go for the game despite missing practice on Wednesday with foot and ankle injuries.

Cook was labeled as limited on the new injury report, but head coach Sean McDermott said the running back will play.

On the other hand, the Bills coach revealed some unfortunate news regarding two defensive players.

A.J. Epenesa and Shaq Thompson have both been ruled out, per the injury report.

"Bills head coach Sean McDermott told WGR550 that defensive end A.J. Epenesa (concussion) and linebacker Shaq Thompson (hamstring) will be  out for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins," per Bills team reporter Maddy Glab.

On Thursday, both players were listed as DNP (did not practice) on the injury report.

Now, they are both ruled out for the AFC East game.

Thompson is in his first season with the Bills and has 19 solo tackles with one sack this season.

He also missed the most recent game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Epenesa played against Kansas City and had two quarterback hits. The defensive end has 10 solo tackles with 2.5 sacks and an interception this year.

Still, the Bills being without two defensive starters is not the best news for the game.

Buffalo visits Miami (2-7) at 1 p.m. ET Sunday on CBS.
