The Buffalo Bills have not yet resigned Rasul Douglas to a new contract, which means that the team could be on the lookout for players to improve their cornerback room by any means necessary.
In a recent mock draft by Ian Valentino of The 33rd Team outlining what he thinks each team should do in the first round, he thinks the reigning AFC East champions should pick Texas corner Jahdae Barron.
"Going with a running back has to be in play here because the Day 2 run will happen before the Bills can get back on the clock. However, there's no more perfect defensive back for Sean McDermott in the class than Jahdae Barron," Valentino writes. "Barron's not a fit everywhere, but the versatile and physical playmaker embodies the same swagger that has led to countless defensive backs thriving under McDermott."
In his senior season with the Longhorns, Barron had a solid 67 total tackles, 11 pass deflections, and five interceptions, which had him tied for fourth in all of college football. He was also able to show his versatility by getting a sack and three tackles for loss.
If the Bills want to repeat the success they had in 2024 and hopefully make it even farther in the playoffs, then getting some help in the secondary would be in their best interests.
