The Buffalo Bills have an upcoming game against the New Orleans Saints in Week 4 of the NFL season. Through three weeks, Buffalo has looked dominant, winning in a variety of ways, giving the Bills Mafia hope for long-term success.
A chunk of the success is due to none other than quarterback Josh Allen, who is once again playing at an entirely different level this season . Ahead of the upcoming contest, Allen spoke to the media about a little bit of everything. Why Buffalo is so special, an underrated aspect of running back James Cook's game, along with a statement for anyone questioning the team's game plan heading into Week 4.
His statement about Buffalo is just further proof that Buffalo drafted the right Josh. Allen was asked what makes Western New York so incredible for him, and he didn't disappoint with his response. Allen even offered up where his favorite wing spots are in Buffalo, in case you're into that sort of thing.

"I would say it's eerily similar to how I was born and raised," Allen said. "Smaller communities that care for each other, that look out for each other. The people make the place and I truly believe that. I love having four seasons, I know our summer and fall are elite here and winter can be a little brutal at times, but it's a special place on top of that I may be the biggest wing connoisseur in this building so it works out."
That's when the topic of his favorite place to grab some of the famous chicken wings came up, offering a top-three for anyone interested in maybe trying out a new spot.
"Favorite spot? I think everyone knows that Bar Bill is probably my favorite," Allen said. "I think Mulberry's has some sneaky good wings, and obviously Wingnutz is pretty dang good, too. A lot of good options, any chance that you can try some new wings here, you should probably jump at the chance to do it."
The franchise quarterback was then asked about the one aspect of Cook's game that may be overlooked by fans and the media. Allen got personal with his response, highlighting Cook's selflessness within the organization. After signing a massive four-year contract extension, Cook is locked in with Buffalo for the foreseeable future.
"The type of teammate that he is," Allen said. "Anytime he's on the field, he doesn't get the ball, you watch him after the play, and he's a true football player. Following the ball, he's one of the first persons there to help our guys up. He's one of the first persons there to celebrate with our guys. Doesn't care who scores a touchdown as long as we score touchdowns. And he's pretty dang good at scoring touchdowns himself."
He followed it up with some additional remarks on Cook, with the uncertainty during the offseason after a deal wasn't made, Cook was more than prepared once the team signed him long-term. The quarterback discussed what it was like being his teammate during the process, and if there was any worry that Cook was going to be able to perform after missing some of camp.
"I mean, I think as a team we understood, we know who Jimbo is," Allen said. "Trusted that he was doing the right things off the field when he wasn't in the building. Obviously, he was. He'll be the first one to tell you it's all the o-line opening the hole for him. The way he runs the football it's a rare thing, and it's a beautiful thing to see."
Cook has been on fire through three weeks, with 53 carries for 284 yards and four touchdowns on the ground while adding nine receptions for 71 yards as a pass catcher.

The reigning MVP also had a message for anyone who's questioning the team not pushing the ball down the field in the passing game. Once again, the team is trusting the process and is focused on taking what the defenses are giving, instead of forcing the issue down the field.
"I just want to win football games. I know people want to talk about the last game [ . . . ] people are mad we're not pushing the ball downfield," Allen said. "We're winning football games, and we're doing what's asked of us. We're taking what's there for us. Teams want to play these split safety coverages and keep everything in front of us, but completions and letting guys like 10 with the ball in his hand make a play and go score. Same thing with 86 [. . . ] We're just trying to win football games, whatever that may be; sometimes it's not going to be that easy. Sometimes we're going to have to take some chances down the field, and when those opportunities come up, we're going to have to make them. Until then, we're going to keep doing what we're doing."
All that's left to do is play football, and the Bills Mafia won't have to wait long. It's part of the farewell to Highmark Stadium tour, one of the final home games before the team moves into the new stadium in 2026.
Head coach Sean McDermott discussed during his media availability the importance of "defending our dirt," which, with no doubt, will have the beloved fan base ready to give the team their all during the contest.
