Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills had their 2025 season ended with a divisional round loss to the Denver Broncos . While it was yet another successful regular season, going 12-5, the Bills have moved on from head coach Sean McDermott, hiring former offensive coordinator Joe Brady as his replacement.

While Buffalo didn't end up hoisting a Lombardi Trophy, Allen was once again impressive. After winning MVP in 2024, he appeared in all 17 games, throwing for 3,668 yards, 25 touchdowns, 10 interceptions and a 102.2 passer rating. The former Wyoming Cowboy also rushed for 579 yards and 14 touchdowns on 112 carries.

With the offseason in full swing, coaching leadership isn't the only change the Bills are making. Wide receiver Curtis Samuel wrapped up his second season with the team, racking up just 38 receptions for 334 yards and two touchdowns in that time.

Originally a second-round pick of the Carolina Panthers, he joined the Bills with relatively high expectations. After back-to-back seasons (2022 and 2023) of at least 600 yards with the Washington Commanders, Buffalo signed him to a three-year, $24 million contract.

They hoped he would become a reliable target for Allen, but that hasn't panned out. 2025 was especially disappointing, with just seven receptions for 81 yards and one touchdown. Despite having one more season under contract, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Friday that the Bills are releasing Samuel.

This isn't the first move Buffalo has made to revamp the wide receiver corps, already trading with the Chicago Bears for D.J. Moore. With free agency beginning on Wednesday, general manager Brandon Beane continues to weigh his options.
