The Buffalo Bills had one of the best offenses in football last season, averaging 30.9 points per game, with the passing attack, along with a stellar run game seeing the AFC East champs make it all the way to the AFC Championship game.
With Josh Allen in MVP form, the Bills are again tipped to be one of the teams fighting for the Super Bowl in 2025, and the run game looks to be top-tier too.
James Cook is coming off his best-ever season touchdown-wise, with 16 in the regular season, and when we add in Allen's rushing ability, that makes for a run game that averaged 136.7 per game.
When ranking the top running back rooms in football, CBS Sports put them into tiers, and with Cook and Allen, they were put in tier 2, called RB/QB duos.
"James Cook and Josh Allen formed a lethal pairing out of the backfield in 2024 and scored 28 rushing touchdowns between them," CBS Sports writes. "Combined with the playoffs, Cook finished his season with 19 rushing touchdowns, which was the most in franchise history. He also became the first Bills back since LeSean McCoy to register back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons."
With Cook entering the final year of his rookie deal, he will want to put his best foot forward so that when push comes to shove next offseason, the Bills will be in a tough spot when it comes to his extension.
Allen will always be the dynamic runner he is, and putting those two offensive pieces together, and it is no wonder many have the Bills as one of the favorites for the Super Bowl.
A passing attack that has ample weapons and a run game that has a revolving door of dynamic options, Buffalo feels well-rounded on offense, with Allen leading the way.
Buffalo is tipped to go far into the playoffs in 2025, and we imagine that Allen, Cook, and the run game will be a big reason why.
