Josh Allen played well in the Buffalo Bills’ 27-24 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the wild card round. The reigning NFL MVP registered 28-of-35 passes for 273 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions. Allen also logged 11 carries for 33 yards and two rushing TDs.
The Bills are now set to face the Denver Broncos in the divisional round. Allen and Co. will be on the road against the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
Unfortunately for the Bills, Allen is dealing with multiple injuries heading into the divisional round matchup. The team announced a crucial update on their star quarterback on Tuesday.
Allen has been dealing with a lingering bone bruise in his foot. The four-time Pro Bowler played through the injury against the Jaguars.
Allen sustained two new injuries in Sunday’s win at Jacksonville. The 29-year-old banged his finger on a helmet during the game. Allen also twisted his knee and required immediate medical attention in the blue tent.
On Tuesday, the Bills released their first injury report of the week heading into the Broncos game. The team announced that Allen was a limited participant in the first practice session due to foot, knee and right finger injuries.

The Bills held a walkthrough practice on Tuesday, so Allen’s participation is an estimation. Either way, the fact that he was projected as a participant, albeit in a limited capacity, bodes well for his chances to play on Sunday.
Allen’s status in Wednesday and Thursday’s practice will be worth monitoring as the former Wyoming Cowboys star looks to get ready for the Bills’ biggest game of the season thus far.
Apart from Allen, the Bills are also dealing with multiple key injuries . Wide receivers Gabe Davis and Tyrell Shavers both tore their ACLs against the Jaguars and are done for the season. Safety Jordan Poyer has also been ruled out against the Broncos after injuring his hamstring in the wild card round.
The Broncos will host the Bills at Empower Field at Mile High on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET.
