The Buffalo Bills have won the last five AFC East titles, and based on the offseason's work and the current shape of the roster, there is nothing to suggest that Sean McDermott's team won't be kings of the division in 2025.
With perhaps the most well-rounded roster, and division rivals that are still going through growing pains, many expect the Bills to waltz through the division as they did a year ago.
Granted, the New England Patriots will be improved, and maybe the Miami Dolphins can string together a full season. As for the New York Jets, well, 2025 is a rebuilding year for Aaron Glenn. Still, Buffalo is the top dog.
And for NFL.com's Judy Battista, she's named Buffalo as the least vulnerable division champ entering the 2025 season.
"The least vulnerable division champion and, at this point, it’s not particularly close," Battista writes. "The Bills won the division last year by five games, the largest margin in the league. Most of all, the Bills have the league’s reigning MVP and they just spent the draft drilling down on defense."
It isn't particularly hard to arrive at that conclusion.
The Bills have the best quarterback and roster in the division, and when you have that, you are generally favored for the title.
Plus, Josh Allen is 30-12 against the AFC East in his career (including playoffs), so he generally doesn't lose too often in the division.
Everyone is aboard the Bills train in 2025, with this seen as "the" year where Allen finally comes through in the playoffs and leads the franchise to its first-ever Super Bowl triumph.
But to do that, they must make the playoffs, and being a division winner for the sixth consecutive time will give the Bills, potentially, a clear path to the Super Bowl.
