The Buffalo Bills are still trying to catch the New England Patriots in the race to the top of the AFC East standings, and they can gain a big ground on that with a win on Sunday against Drake Maye and company.

Josh Allen can also make that game matter historically.

According to the Bills' public relations department, Allen can break an NFL record currently held by Pittsburgh Steelers star quarterback and future Pro Football Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers as soon as this coming Sunday.

"Josh Allen is set to play in his 125th career game Sunday & needs four touchdowns to reach 300 total TDs in his career. Allen can become the fastest player to ever reach the 300 TD mark & the only one to ever do so before turning 30," read the Bills PR's post on X.

Rodgers reached the 300-touchdown plateau in the NFL in his 134th game in the pros to set the NFL record. New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson is second on the list with 300 touchdowns in 149 games, while former Indianapolis Colts franchise signal-caller Peyton Manning racked up 300 TDs in 150 games.

Allen, who turned 29 years old in May, is always a candidate to come away with a multi-touchdown game because of his dual-threat abilities. In the 2025 NFL season alone, the reigning NFL Most Valuable Player already has 22 passing touchdowns and 12 rushing scores through 13 games.

In his career, Allen has 217 passing touchdowns and 77 rushing TDs to go with two receiving scores in 124 games since being taken by the Bills in the first round as the seventh overall pick at the 2018 NFL Draft.

Back in Week 5’s 23-20 loss to the Pats, Allen had 253 passing yards and two touchdowns and 53 rushing yards with zero scores on the ground.
