Josh Allen continues to be one of the NFL’s most compelling players week after week, carrying the Buffalo Bills with the same blend of arm talent, physicality, and improvisation that has defined his rise. Through 10 games, the reigning league MVP has completed 69.6 percent of his passes for 2,456 yards, 18 touchdowns, and seven interceptions, while adding 351 rushing yards and 10 scores on the ground.
His six-touchdown performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 11 tied him with Cam Newton for the most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in league history and was another reminder of how he can take over any game. The Bills are in the AFC playoff race at 7-3, and with Allen producing at this level, their chances continue to hinge on his ability to generate explosive plays.
As Buffalo pushes deeper into the second half of the season, Allen remains must-see TV and the kind of quarterback the league often builds its Sunday windows around. So it was all the more surprising to football fans when the NFL announced a schedule change on Thursday.
The league confirmed that the Chicago Bears game against the Green Bay Packers will move into the 4:25 p.m. ET national window in Week 14, while Bills’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals – and the potential Allen vs. Joe Burrow matchup – has been shifted to 1 p.m. ET.
Flex! The Week 14 Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers game will be played at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday, Dec. 7 on FOX, the NFL announced today. The Cincinnati Bengals-Buffalo Bills game will be played at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.

The adjustment immediately drew backlash, with many arguing that Allen’s star power and the intrigue surrounding a Cincinnati-Buffalo game warranted the late-afternoon spotlight.
“Kicking burrow and Allen out the 4:25 slot?” one fan questioned.
“Burrow Allen game clears a bears packers game [expletive],” another fan wrote.
“These [expletive] really Moved Allen vs burrow back for da bears and packuhs,” a fan joked.
“Wow no respect to Allen!” another fan posted.
“This is not better than Burrow vs Allen,” one fan remarked.
“Burrow Allen what the heck,” another fan said.
While the outrage seems valid, the league’s decision to opt for its oldest rivalry doesn’t appear farfetched. Chicago vs. Green Bay, a matchup that rarely finds both teams above .500 this late in the season, is traditionally a major draw for Fox’s doubleheader slot. The game also carries added significance as the NFC North race heats up: the Bears sit 7-3 atop the division heading into Week 12, while the Packers are close behind at 6-3-1.
