While the 2025 NFL season is still a few month from picking up steam, time will pass quickly. For the Buffalo Bills and superstar quarterback Josh Allen, the new year can't arrive soon enough.
During the 2024 campaign, the Bills were stopped one win short of the Super Bowl. Against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC championship game, Buffalo had a great chance to pull off the win and have a chance to play in the Super Bowl. The team could not get the job done.
Allen's performance last season won him the NFL MVP award. He led an extremely high-powered offense and put up big-time numbers along the way.
In the 17 games he played in 2024, Allen completed 63.6% of his pass attempts for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns, and just six interceptions. He also racked up 531 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground.
Looking ahead to the 2025 season, Bills fans are curious what the star signal caller can produce to follow up his MVP win.
ESPN has released their projections for Allen in 2025. Those projections aren't necessary what Buffalo fans will want to see.
They believe that the 28-year-old superstar will throw for 3,497 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions, while rushing for 513 yards and 10 more scores.
If those numbers become reality, Allen would have regressed in every single category. Of course, he'll have an opportunity to blow past those predictions and put together a much bigger season.
With Allen in the middle of his prime and fresh off of a six-year, $330 million contract extension, the hope is that this kind of dip does not actually happen. If the Bills are finally going to win a Super Bowl, they will need the best version of Allen yet.
