With the kickoff of the 2021 NFL season just one day away, fantasy draft season is in full swing and the sportsbooks are working overtime. And while the usual NFL stars are still big draws for bettors, one starting quarterback is getting a little extra attention ahead of Week 1.
According to ESPN, Buffalo Bills' QB1 Josh Allen is a heavy preseason favorite among bettors to win the Associated Press MVP award. The 25-year-old is placed at 12:1 odds at Caesers Sportsbook -- tied with Super Bowl champ Tom Brady -- and despite not being favored as heavily as Patrick Mahomes (5:1) or Aaron Rodgers (10:1) Allen is the player bettors are most interested in this preseason.
Expectations for Allen are high after he led the Bills to a 13-3 record last season. Still, it is pretty impressive that he has drawn twice as many bets at the sportsbooks than Mahomes, who is coming off his second consecutive Super Bowl appearance.
One of the biggest questions heading into every NFL season is who will win MVP.

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry has the best odds among non-QBs at 50:1 while Dallas Cowboys' Dak Prescott is the favorite to be named Comeback Player of the Year at 11:10.
