Bills QB Josh Allen Sets NFL Record vs. Chargers

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen set a new NFL record in Saturday night's meeting with the Los Angeles Chargers after scoring a one-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter. His third total touchdown of the game made him the first player in NFL history with four straight 40 total touchdown seasons.

The Bills' official X account officially announced the news:

"Josh Allen rushes for his third total touchdown of the day, marking his 40th this season. Allen is now the first player in NFL history with four consecutive 40 total TD seasons."

While Allen has always been known for his elite rushing ability, he's taken that to a new level this season. He now has 13 rushing touchdowns this season, which is a career-high.

Allen told NBC prior to the game that he's focused on "being Josh."

“Josh being Josh,'' he told NBC, is just the big kid that loves football. “Sometimes it's not going to be pretty, but he's going to make plays, he's going to help his team win football games. That's the only thing I've ever tried to do …''

"To be the leader that you can be, you have to be authentic,'' he said, you have to be 100-percent who you are. Throughout times, I was trying to be somebody I wasn't in terms of trying to lead a certain way.''
