Bills QB Josh Allen shares sad truth about tough situation
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen Jamie Sabau-USA TODAY Sports

Throughout the past four days, Josh Allen has demonstrated his leadership and maturity, leaving Buffalo Bills fans that much more confident in his ability to lead the team well.

In his first press conference since Damar Hamlin‘s injury on Monday night, Allen shared an unfortunate reality about moving forward.

Witnessing a tragedy such as Hamlin’s injury can have lasting effects.

Events like this can cause trauma and can stick with people for years, or even the rest of their lives.

With any hope, players on both the Bills and Cincinnati Bengals will be able to move forward.

If players require any assistance, the NFL has assured players that they will be afforded many resources, including psychologists and therapists, should they choose to want or need these services.

The brotherhood that is the NFL is something that has been talked about at length throughout this process.

With any luck, these players will be able to lean on each other and have the ability to understand what the other is going through during this tough time.

However, with this morning’s news of Hamlin being able to talk to his teammates, and he can breathe on this own, hopefully, this will help quell some anxieties and fears.

Football is an incredibly dangerous game.

If players weren’t faced with the realities of their potential mortality before Hamlin’s injury, they will be now.

Hopefully, Hamlin’s injury is truly one-of-a-kind, and this is the last time that we will have to talk about a catastrophic injury.
