Bills rookie OL Spencer Brown placed on COVID-19 list

After struggling to show any signs of a run game for much of the 2021 season, the Buffalo Bills' running back trio of Devin Singletary, Zack Moss and Matt Breida finally got it going in the team's Week 10 rout of the New York Jets. The team ran for 139 yards -- its highest total since Week 4 -- and all three running backs scored touchdowns (Breida scored twice).

The team combined for a decent 174 rushing yards across Weeks 8 and 9, but 105 of those yards came from the legs of quarterback Josh Allen. Unsurprisingly, some of the rushing-attack struggles have gone hand-in-hand with the health of the starting offensive line, so when rookie tackle Spencer Brown returned from an injury absence in Week 10, so did the run game.

Unfortunately for Bills Mafia, Brown is likely to miss another contest in Week 11 after being placed on the COVID-19/reserve list on Thursday.

Brown was selected by Buffalo in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft and has made four starts and played seven games. After playing just 21 offensive snaps through Week 3, Brown was on the field for 100% of the snaps in Weeks 4, 5, 6 and 10.

Kumerow is in his second year with the Bills after spending the 2018 and 2019 campaigns with the Green Bay Packers. The 29-year-old wide receiver has mostly been a special teams player for Buffalo, having only been on the field for 55 offensive snaps (10%) this season and 135 on special teams (65%).

The Bills host the Indianapolis Colts at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday.
