Bills' Trent Sherfield hilariously betrayed by his own family moments before Chiefs game
Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

This one has got to sting a little bit.

The Buffalo Bills have a make-or-break game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday and veteran wide receiver Trent Sherfield was pictured out on the field before the game. He has some family in attendance to support him, but there was one sign that is sure to make everyone laugh.

Decked out in a Patrick Mahomes jersey, his nephew was holding the perfect sign.

"My Uncle is #16 on the Bills, but I'm here to see #15, Mahomes," the sign said.

Nobody can resist cheering for the top quarterback in the NFL. Not even the family members of the team the Chiefs are competing against.

And while the Mahomes has two Super Bowl championships, it probably doesn't make Sherfield or the Bills feel any better considering the Chiefs were responsible for knocking Buffalo out of the playoffs in 2020 and 2021. In 2022 they didn't have to play them, but were knocked out by the Cincinnati Bengals in the Divisional round.

Sherfield is in his first season with the Bills, currently having seven receptions for 53 yards this season. He signed with Buffalo after a strong year with the Miami Dolphins in 2022, having had stints with the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals to start his career.
