Bills Uniform Announcement is Bad News for Ravens

The Buffalo Bills will be wearing their Sunday best when they host the Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional Round on Jan. 19.

Literally.

Buffalo announced on Wednesday that it will don its classic home uniforms: blue jerseys with white pants, a combination that the team is 8-0 in this season, including a 31-7 Wild Card Round win over the Broncos last week.

Of course, it doesn't hurt that the Bills join the Chiefs as the only NFL teams this season to be undefeated at home. And why mess with a winning formula, with the team winning four of its past five home games by multiple scores?

Surely the Bills didn't even consider wearing their traditional white jerseys — with blue or white pants. While wearing white, Buffalo is just 4-4, including a 35-10 loss at Baltimore in Week 4.

Sunday night will be the fifth time that Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson have faced off, with the teams splitting their four matchups. Each team is 1-1 at home, although Bills won the only previous playoff game, a 17-3 Divisional Round game in 2021.

With the obvious caveat that team play and home-field advantage matters more than uniforms, the question becomes which white uniforms the Ravens will don. Baltimore wore purple pants with white jerseys in the 2021 loss, while they won in 2019 with black pants and white jerseys.
