The Denver Broncos' training camp continued Monday in Englewood, Colorado in preparation for the team's preseason opener in San Francisco on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET.

The Broncos are looking to build off of last season's first round playoff exit and division title-less season with a better season in 2025, behind the leadership of head coach Sean Payton and quarterback Bo Nix.

On Monday, comments from Payton on Nix's NFL future were revealed, painting the picture of a player who could surpass already high expectations in the next few years and beyond.

"He's going to be one of the top four or five quarterbacks in the league the next two years," Payton said about the former Oregon Ducks star and current Denver signal caller.

Nix took it a step further by putting a sky high ceiling on he and Nix's team with additional comments shared by Yahoo Sports.

"This is a team capable of winning the Super Bowl," Payton reportedly said.

Nix finished with a 66.3% completion percentage, ranking in the top ten among players with 10 games or more played, a promising statistic for a veteran, let alone a rookie.

Nix was known for his efficiency, smarts, and athleticism with the Ducks. This season could constitute another step forward in each of those three categories with the Broncos' season starting out at home against the Titans, a winnable game for a team that outperformed expectations last season.

Nix quietly finished ahead of NFL superstars including Josh Allen and Matthew Stafford in passing yards last season, also besting rising stars CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniels, Jordan Love and Jalen Hurts in that department.

While Payton's prediction sounds a bit outlandish, the truth is that Nix isn't too far from his expectations, and he now has a clean slate on which to prove himself with the season a little over a month away.
