Bolts Make Host of Roster Moves Ahead of Showdown With Patriots
USA TODAY Sports

As your Los Angeles Chargers prepare to take on the New England Patriots for their Weke 13 showdown,  they've made a handful of moves

According to Chargers insider Fernando Ramirez, the Chargers have waived running back Elijah Dotson, signed wide receiver Alex Erickson, and elevated right end Stephen Anderson.

Dotson, 24, was the preseason darling for the Bolts, making a name for himself after their Week 1 performance against the Los Angeles Rams. Dotson ran for 92 yards on six carries and scored two touchdowns to lead them to victory in the first game of their 2023 preseason campaign.

However, he could not repeat that type of performance in the following weeks. Still, he earned himself a spot in the 53-man roster, but he's been underwhelming. In a limited role in the 2023 regular season, he's only recorded six rushing yards on four carries in Week 2 against the Tennesse Titans.

As for Erickson, he will be on the active roster for tomorrow's game. The Bolts signed him to the practice squad in late August. The former undrafted wide receiver has bounced around from teams since coming into the league in 2016. He's known for punt/kick returning, returning 162 punts and 110 kickoffs for a total of 4,032 return yards.

Anderson spent three seasons with the Bolts prior to returning for this season from 2019-2021. Aside from that, he spent time with the Houston Texans, New England Patriots, and the Arizona Cardinals after his first stint with the Chargers. He signed back with LA in mid-November to the practice squad.

All systems seem to be a go for the Bolts as they prepare to return to the winning track of things tomorrow.
