Four days after he emphatically dismissed one trade rumor surrounding Brandon Aiyuk, the San Francisco 49ers wide receiver's agent shot down more speculation about his client.
Aiyuk's future has been one of the dominant storylines of the offseason, with the Niners looking to tie him down to a long-term contract after a 2023 season that saw him named second-team All-Pro.
With no sign of an extension on the horizon, trade talk surrounding Aiyuk has persisted, but his agent, Ryan Williams, is not indulging any of it.
On Sunday, he flatly rejected a report that Aiyuk had requested a trade from the 49ers.
Another “report” that couldn’t be more incorrect. Fictional “journalism” should really stop. https://t.co/jJWOJgNPi0

And on Thursday, Williams shut down another rumor that the Pittsburgh Steelers are "aggressively pursuing" Aiyuk and would be "surprised" if they don't acquire him.
Williams wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "Another "report" that couldn't be more incorrect. Fictional "journalism" should really stop."
The 49ers have continually insisted they have no desire to part with Aiyuk and want him to be a member of their team for years to come. If next week's draft comes and goes with their leading receiver still in the roster, the speculation will likely give way to an eventual agreement between the Niners and Aiyuk.
