Brandon Aubrey made history during Cowboys' win over Giants and it has nothing to do with yards

Brandon Aubrey does it again.

The Dallas Cowboys kicker continues to come up clutch in key moments, and Sunday was no different as the team erased a 10-point deficit, defeating the New York Giants, 40-23. And it was thanks to Aubrey that the game not only went to overtime, but also that the Cowboys came away victorious.

Aubrey nailed a 64-yard field goal to tie the game with no time remaining in the fourth quarter, followed by a 46-yard field goal to win the game with no time remaining in overtime. This makes him the first player ever to convert a game-tying field goal with no time remaining in the fourth quarter and a game-winning field goal with no time remaining in overtime in the same game, courtesy of NFL Communications.

But that's not all.

Aubrey's 64-yard field goal also marked the third-longest in NFL history, with Justin Tucker's 66-yard field goal on Oct. 21, 2023, sitting in first place, followed by his 65-yard field goal on Sept. 22, 2024. in second. The Cowboys kicker also has four career field goals of 60 or more yards, which ties him with Brett Maher for the most 60-yard field goals in NFL history, courtesy of NFL Communications.

And not to mention, Aubrey's efforts also handed the Cowboys their first win of the Brian Schottenheimer era. But if Aubrey has anything to say about it, this is just the beginning. And when it's his time to shine, he has shown over and over again that he will always step up to the occasion.
