After 15 seasons repping midnight green, star defensive end Brandon Graham will not be suiting up for the Philadelphia Eagles. However, that doesn't mean he's straying too far away from the NovaCare Complex.
During his retirement press conference, Graham revealed that he won't be leaving the game entirely just yet.
"I said I want to sit down and talk with Mr. Lurie and have some dinner with them," Graham said. "So, we're going to do that and figure out what I can do to be a part of what's going on. Because I feel like, as you know, we've got some good stuff brewing right now. And I want to make sure that I can be a help in whatever it is that I do. Of course, I want to be creative. I don't have to be all in one basket have everything all in one but just kind of move around. I don't want to just cold turkey leave that game because I love it."
While Graham is excited for what is to come in retirement, he is going to miss trash talking, thought he plans to give his teammates his best stuff.
"Man, now I can send my goons out for them," Graham said. "Now, I've got a different little lingo I'm going to say to these guys. On the field, of course, I've got to talk my stuff. I can't do nothing about it, but now I can send Nolan (Smith) to go out there and do it."
Graham isn't the only one former Eagles player who still hangs around the team's practice facility. Legendary center Jason Kelce also checks in every now and then to offer his mentorship.
