The Miami Dolphins' injury report looked a lot better at the end than it did at the beginning of the Week 18 work week.
The Dolphins ruled out only two players for their AFC East showdown against the Buffalo Bills, and one of them is linebacker Bradley Chubb, who always was going to be out after the torn ACL he sustained against Baltimore last week and is only on the injury report because he hasn't yet been placed on injured reserve.
The other played ruled out was cornerback Xavien Howard, who left the Baltimore game after four snaps because of a foot injury.
But since those two designations were expected, the big news with the release of the final injury was that both Raheem Mostert and Jaylen Waddle were listed as questionable after returning to practice on a limited basis Friday.
Neither player participated in the Baltimore game last week after Waddle was ruled out on Friday and Mostert was listed as questionable.
The only other player who received a game status designation Friday was linebacker Jerome Baker, who returned to practice this week and still remains on IR. It's possible, if not likely, that the Dolphins will activate Baker on Saturday and place Chubb on IR to make room on the 53-man roster.
With no player designation, the Dolphins will have their offensive line intact in terms of the active roster, with starting right guard Robert Hunt returning to the lineup for the first time since he aggravated his hamstring injury in Week 14 against the Washington Commanders.
All things considered, it's actually not a bad final injury report considering there were 19 players on the list Thursday.
By comparison, though, the Dolphins still fall behind the Bills on this final injury report because Buffalo has only one player who even has as much as a game status designation.
That player is starting center Mitch Morse, who is listed as questionable after missing practice Friday due to an illness.
Head coach Sean McDermott said before practice he wasn't overly concerned about Morse's availability for the game.
Wide receiver Stefon Diggs didn't practice Friday, but it was because he was given a vet rest day.
Safety Damar Hamlin was the only player who was limited, but he didn't get a game status designation.
