The first injury report for the Week 18 AFC East showdown between the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills showed a major disparity between the two teams, though there was some good news for the Dolphins.
The best news was that guard Robert Hunt, who has missed the past four games with a hamstring injury, began the week practicing (on a limited basis), but there also was Jerome Baker returning to practice and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa being a full participant after he sustained a left shoulder injury in the final minutes of the loss at Baltimore on Sunday.
The best news is the Dolphins had six players who did not practice among their 18 players on the injury report, as opposed to Buffalo having only two players not practice and only five total on the list.
The six who did not practice for Miami were T Terron Armstead (knee/ankle/back), OLB Bradley Chubb (knee), CB Xavien Howard (foot), RB Raheem Mostert (knee/ankle), DT Zach Sieler (illness) and WR Jaylen Waddle (ankle).
The 10 players who were listed as limited were RB De'Von Achane (toe/ribs), Baker, OL Lester Cotton (hip), OL Liam Eichenberg (calf/ankle), WR Tyreek Hill (ankle/personal), S Jevon Holland (knees), Hunt, OL Austin Jackson (oblique), LB David Long Jr. (knee) and LB Duke Riley (ankle).
Hill's personal situation involved his Southwest Ranches home catching fire, though everyone in his family was safe.
Along with Tua, whose injuries also include a quad, cornerback Jalen Ramsey was listed as a full participant with a knee issue.
The biggest name on the Bills injury report was QB Josh Allen, but he was a full participant despite neck/right finger issues.
The two players who didn't practice were EDGE Von Miller and DE Leonard Floyd, who both got vet rest days, though Floyd also was listed as dealing with a rib injury.
Safeties Micah Hyde (neck) and Damar Hamlin (shoulder) were listed as limited participants.
