Brett Favre Discussing 1 Trait He Helped Aaron Rodgers Develop

Aaron Rodgers has been one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history as he has been able to dominate throughout his career. He was able to learn from quarterback Brett Favre, sitting behind him for the first three years of his NFL career.

The two have shared a respectful relationship as they have both been some of the best quarterbacks we have ever seen. Favre discussed Rodgers recently and how he has been able to do a lot of things incredibly well. Let’s take a deeper dive into what he said about the 41-year-old quarterback.

Brett Favre Discusses Aaron Rodgers’ Abilities

In his debut episode of the “4th and Favre” podcast, the Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback discussed a myriad of topics, including Aaron Rodgers’ abilities on the football field.

“You know, I think, obviously, he’s his own. He has this kind of special way of playing the game. I think one thing that set Aaron and I apart that I noticed right from the get-go was his football IQ was off the charts. Guy was super intelligent and was much like a Tom Brady, was one step ahead always in regards to his opponent in defenses.”

Favre would continue to praise Rodgers before suggesting that he may have had a hand in helping Aaron Rodgers develop one aspect of his game.

“But I think the things that I see that maybe he would have gotten from me is the footwork… [Rodgers] very rarely did a traditional, like a pitch, come off the mound [throw].

Aaron Rodgers has continued to look well throughout the season as he has completed 142 of 208 (68.3%) of his passes for 1,489 yards with 16 touchdown passes and five interceptions. The relationship between the former Green Bay Packer quarterbacks seems to be respectful and Rodgers’ footwork continues to be impressive, even at this point of his career.
