Brett Favre shares thoughts on how Davante Adams will play without Aaron Rodgers

Plenty of people have given their opinion on how they think star wide receiver Davante Adams will perform this upcoming season without Aaron Rodgers throwing him the pigskin. 

Now Rodgers' predecessor, Brett Favre, has offered up his two cents. And, not surprisingly, he doesn't think Adams will be as successful with the Las Vegas Raiders as he was with the Green Bay Packers.

"That's not to say he's not a great player because he is a tremendous player and we'll see that with Las Vegas," Favre told TMZ over the weekend. "But it's just hard to shift gears, especially from a player as prolific as Aaron Rodgers. I'd be shocked if he had the same year he had the previous year. That's not to say he can't do it, but I would be shocked."

The Hall of Famer said repeatedly that he meant no disrespect to Adams, who went off last season for 123 catches for 1,553 yards and 11 touchdowns. Favre's biggest argument -- as he continued to insist he means no disrespect -- is that Raiders signal-caller Derek Carr isn't in the same category talent-wise that Rodgers is in.

"I think Derek Carr is a very good quarterback," Favre continued. "But, he's not in Aaron's league yet. May never be. And, that's no disrespect."
