Brian Callahan Drops Revealing Statement About Will Levis

Will Levis can't be feeling great about his Tennessee Titans future after the team drafted Cam Ward with the No. 1 pick. Even if he shows major signs of improvement, the Titans are Ward's team going forward.

However, that doesn't mean he can't audition for other teams around the NFL. So far, he's been impressing, imrpessing head coach Brian Callahan this offseason.

"I've seen a lot of improvement, I really have," Callahan said at a Wednesday press conference. "I think him making the decision to put in the work down there with Jordan (Palmer) was really beneficial. ... I see real improvement in his footwork and his base. His ability to control the football has improved.

"I've been really pleased with the work that he's put in. He's reacted really well to the room. Will's going into his third year, so he understands what being a professional quarterback is."

Levis was a second-round pick just two years ago, so it's possible that there are teams around the NFL that could still be interested in him. If he can prove to be mature and productive as a backup to Ward, that could reflect well on him.

It's unlikely another team would bring Levis on as an outright starter without competition, but going to a team with less certainty at quarterback has to be the long-term goal.

In the meantime, the best he can do is to continue working on his game and being a consummate professional. Perhaps the Pittsburgh Steelers will want to call about Levis if the quarterback keeps getting good reviews and they don't sign Aaron Rodgers.
