The Denver Broncos advanced to 8-2 after defeating the Las Vegas Raiders 10-7 on "Thursday Night Football." It was a defensive battle, as Broncos quarterback Bo Nix threw for just 150 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions and a 54.2 passer rating.
Denver already entered the game with one of the NFL's most intimidating and disruptive defenses and lived up to the hype. Raiders quarterback Geno Smith was sacked a total of six times, resulting in a loss of 29 yards.
Seven different players for the Broncos registered at least half a sack, while EDGE Nik Bonitto had the most with 1.5 sacks.
Taking Smith down six times meant the Broncos were up to 46 team sacks to start the season. On Friday, the Broncos announced that those 46 sacks are the most in the first 10 games for any NFL team since 1990.
Just like against the Raiders, Bonitto had led this impressive charge for Denver. He has the third most sacks in the NFL (9.5), while also racking up 32 total tackles and nine tackles for loss.
The Broncos could threaten the all-time single-season sacks record, which has been held since 1984 by the Chicago Bears ( 72). With seven regular-season games remaining, Denver is 26 away from equaling it.

Led by a ferocious defense, the Broncos are looking to make a second straight playoff appearance and win the AFC West for the first time since 2015. They're already at the top of the division and are fighting for the AFC's No. 1 seed.
Up next, though, it's a matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs (5-4), who have won the AFC West the past nine seasons. The game is Nov. 16 at Empower Field at Mile High.
