The Denver Broncos are atop the AFC West after a 10-7 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Amazon Prime's "Thursday Night Football."
It wasn't the prettiest win, but they got the job done, improving to 8-2 through their first 10 games. Their defense held the Raiders scoreless in the second half.
Broncos quarterback Bo Nix didn't enjoy a good game, finishing with only 150 yards through the air, a touchdown and two interceptions. During the contest, Broncos fans were unhappy and even booed Nix since the offense was really struggling.
Nix was asked about that during his post-game presser and isn't worried about it.
"I’ve been boo’d before, and I’ll be boo’d again, so not going to be the last time," Nix said. "It's obviously unfortunate. You don't want your own fans booing you, but you know, it's part of it."
Despite the boos, Nix has helped the Broncos get into prime position to not only potentially make the playoffs, but win the AFC West. He has thrown for 2,126 yards through the air, 18 touchdowns and eight interceptions this season.
Nix, along with the rest of the Broncos, will have over a week off before the Kansas City Chiefs come to Denver for a major AFC West showdown on Nov. 16. It will be a chance for Nix and Co. to show why they are potentially for real this year after making the playoffs as a wild-card team last season.
Kickoff for that Chiefs-Broncos contest will be at 4:25 p.m. ET.
