Goodrich played four years at Clemson, winning the National Championship in his freshman season. The cornerback played 14 games that year and continued to improve his stats each year.
In his senior year, Goodrich set a career-high with 42 tackles, led the ACC with 10 passes defended, collected two interceptions, and forced a fumble.
The Clemson product went undrafted in 2022 and signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. Goodrich spent that season on the practice squad but then saw action in four games, picking up five tackles, in 2023.
Goodrich was later waived by the Eagles and spent the 2024 training camp with the New York Giants. The cornerback did not make the team, so he spent the spring with the Stallions.
Goodrich played in seven games for the Stallions, collecting 17 tackles, six pass breakups, and three forced fumbles.
Now, the corner will join the Broncos, and a secondary that carries a lot of talent. Goodrich will have a chance to compete for a spot, as well as learn from the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Patrick Surtain II.
This is the second UFL player signing by the Broncos in as many seasons. In 2024, the Broncos brought in Dondrea Tillman, who also played for the Stallions previously.
The linebacker made the team and had a significant impact last year. Tillman played in 12 games and contributed 23 tackles, five TFLs, and five sacks.
Goodrich will join the Broncos with about a month until training camp begins. Denver has shown that if the former UFL player can impress in training camp, he could earn himself some valuable playing time in 2025.
